Two playoff contenders get set to face off in La Belle Province on Tuesday night, as the Vegas Golden Knights prepare to pay a visit to the Montreal Canadiens.

The Golden Knights continue to be one of the top dogs in the NHL, regardless of whether anyone else from around the league wants that to be the case. With a bolstered roster, headlined by Mitch Marner, the team remains near the top of the Pacific Division standings, and is a favorite to make a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Tuesday night will mark the final game of Vegas’ four-game road trip through the Eastern Conference. Though the team beat the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday, the Golden Knights lost to both the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators.

The Canadiens are trying to keep up with the best of the Atlantic Division. While the team has suffered some tough injuries, Montreal is still a favorite to finish in the top three in the division. Despite losing back-to-back games, the Habs sit tied for third in the Atlantic, six points back of the first-place Detroit Red Wings.
