A former LSU football assistant coach landed his first NFL head coaching gig on Tuesday. The Buffalo Bills promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the top job, opting to remain in-house after moving on from Sean McDermott.
Brady spent one season at LSU and was a key architect behind the Tigers‘ historic national championship winning offense in 2019.

LSU’s numbers were good enough to earn Brady a chance in the NFL and he left Baton Rouge to become the Carolina Panthers’ OC. Brady didn’t last long in Carolina, but he landed on his feet as the Bills’ QB coach, working with star Josh Allen.
Brady worked his way up, eventually taking over as OC, and now, he’s the head coach. It was only a matter of time for Brady. The rising star has been among the hottest names in coaching dating back to his time at LSU.
Brady, 36, is now the youngest head coach in the NFL.
