Checkbox, an Australian artificial intelligence software start-up founded by a pair of former Sydney Boys High School classmates has been valued at more than $100 million after attracting Silicon Valley investors keen to fund its US expansion.

The start-up has built bots to let lawyers at big companies including Telstra, Woolworths and Macquarie Group, automate low-level tasks, and has raised $US23 million ($32 million) in funding led by US venture capital firm Touring Capital.
