It’s been a long time coming, but Nine Entertainment has finally landed a deal to offload its sprawling talkback radio network. And all fingers are pointing away from the hot favourite Sports Entertainment Group boss Craig Hutchison and towards an under-the-radar bidder.

People briefed on the matter, who requested anonymity because the process was confidential, said interests associated with billionaire publican Arthur Laundy were poised to pick up the radio business.
