INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Thursday, the Horizon League announced the 2026 Under Armour #HLGOLF Preseason Poll, with Oakland earning the second-place rankings for women’s golf.

As back-to-back Horizon League Champions, the women’s golf team is striving for a third consecutive title this season. In their five fall tournaments, the women achieved two top-five finishes: third at the Bradley Coyote Classic and fourth at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational. The team is eager to carry this momentum into the spring season.

Freshmen Logan Bentley and Channing Hagen joined the women’s golf team back in the fall, aiming to secure their own Horizon League Championship. Meanwhile, juniors Lily Bargamian and Olivia Hemmila, along with seniors Grace Boczar and Paige Scott, are determined to add a third championship ring to their collections and bring another title to Rochester.

In the preseason poll, the women’s team received two of the seven first-place votes for 43 points, finishing only four points behind the back-to-back Horizon League runner-up, Youngstown State.

The spring season swings into gear starting in February, as the women’s team heads to Arizona on the 20th to participate in Western Michigan’s Rio Verde Intercollegiate.
