The Directorate of Drugs Control, Punjab, has issued a medicine recall alert for several batches of veterinary injections being sold in the market. The sale and use of these injections have been ordered to stop immediately.

All retailers, veterinary outlets, wholesalers, and distributors holding the affected batches have been directed to stop dispensing them at once. They must also report their current stock and consumption details to their respective area drug inspectors.

According to the Directorate, Drug Testing Laboratories Punjab declared the listed medicines substandard and misbranded. Following this, the Provincial Quality Control Board ordered their immediate recall from the market.

The Directorate has also instructed the manufacturers of these medicines to recall the affected batches from the market immediately.

Earlier, on January 29, 2026, the Directorate of Drugs Control, Punjab, issued a most urgent recall alert and suspended the sale and use of certain batches of Injection SATAMIN.
