MMA fighter Conor McGregor has extended an invitation to President Donald Trump to sample the “best Coke in Ireland” following their meeting at the White House earlier this year.

McGregor had a discussion with Trump in the Oval Office on St. Patrick’s Day about immigration policies, as part of his challenge to the Irish government. During this encounter, Trump expressed his admiration for McGregor, and they found common ground on many of his far-right views.

Now, months later, McGregor has formally invited Trump to his Black Forge Inn pub. This invitation comes just days after McGregor lost an appeal in a civil case where he was accused of sexual assault by Nikita Hand.

The humorous invitation alludes to Trump’s fondness for Diet Coke, given that the president has famously stated that he has never consumed alcohol. “See you in November Donald, at Ireland’s greatest public house, the multi-time award-winning, @blackforgeinn!” McGregor posted on X.

“We look very forward! Ireland’s friend @realDonaldTrump, we have the best Coke in all Ireland for you to try! Sparkly fizzy, and on the rocks. With Irish lemon and lime, also! For adding. ICE COLD!”

“Our Coca Cola factory is just 5 minutes away on the long mile road, walking distance, from the black forge inn! GIVE THAT BOY A CAN OF COKE! You are going to LOVE IT! The unique, true, IRISH EXPERIENCE!”.

Similar to Trump, McGregor has been extremely outspoken regarding his anti-immigration stance. The MMA champion has gone so far as to declare his intention to seek the Irish presidency in this year’s upcoming elections.

McGregor’s political declaration emerged just days following his return from the White House in March. The fighter asserted that “Ireland is at the cusp of potentially losing its Irishness,” and expressed his determination to take control of the situation personally.

The former UFC champion intends to challenge a new European Union migration pact. “Who else will stand up to Government and oppose this bill?” McGregor questioned in an Instagram post. “Any other Presidential candidate they attempt to put forward will be of no resistance to them. I will!”

McGregor’s White House activities drew criticism from Irish leader Micheal Martin, who rejected his anti-immigration remarks. “Did not reflect the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, or the views of the people of Ireland,” he stated.

Nevertheless, Trump holds a contrasting opinion of McGregor. Prior to their White House encounter, he declared the MMA fighter to be his preferred Irish individual.

While acknowledging he appreciates “many” Irish people, Trump specifically highlighted McGregor.

“I do happen to like your fighter. He’s got the best tattoos I’ve ever seen. Conor’s great, right. But you have a lot of great Irish fighters actually, great fighters.”
