Klipsch has unveiled its latest ProMedia system: the ProMedia Lumina, a 2.1-channel desktop speaker setup designed for gamers, content creators, remote workers and casual listeners.

Building on the original ProMedia, first introduced in 1999, the Lumina system combines Klipsch’s horn-loaded speakers with modern features and sleek design.

The new model includes tiltable satellite stands, a carbon wood-grain vinyl finish and customisable LED Light Modes that respond to music or screen activity.

“True high-performance sound belongs everywhere, even on your desk,” said Vincent Bonacorsi, COO of Klipsch. “The ProMedia Lumina honours the unmistakable power and precision of the original while evolving it for today’s digital lifestyles.”

The system’s two-way satellite speakers feature Klipsch’s patented MicroTractrix horn with a wider design for precise sound dispersion, paired with 3″ midrange drivers for dynamic audio detail.

A 6.5″ side-firing subwoofer delivers deep bass in a slim, upright enclosure that maximises desk space, complete with cable management and adjustable gain control.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and 3.5mm auxiliary input, while system controls are accessible through tactile buttons or the Klipsch Connect Plus mobile app (Android/iOS).

For Windows users, a desktop app offers fine-tuning of EQ, lighting and virtual surround modes, as well as features like Screen React, which projects screen colours onto the LEDs, and Dynamic Lighting to sync with other RGB peripherals.

Additional features include Night Mode for low-volume listening, auto on/off functionality, and a six-band EQ to customise the sound profile.

The ProMedia Lumina is now available through authorized Klipsch retailers at a recommended price of A$899.

Specifications at a glance: 100W RMS power, 200W peak, 40Hz–20kHz frequency response, 98dB SPL max output, adjustable stands, rear RGB lighting, and multiple connectivity options including USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3, and 3.5mm aux.
