It is reported that Amorim “does not want to cause a distraction” for his successor Michael Carrick.

Carrick has made a flawless start to life as United’s head coach, already matching Amorim’s best winning streak of three games in a row.

Ruben Amorim could expose Ineos talks

Amorim went out in a blaze of frustration at United, taking swipes at sporting director Jason Wilcox on his way out.

It has been made clear that Wilcox was interfering with tactics during Amorim’s time in charge, and the Portuguese head coach clearly felt some lines had been crossed.

As much as Amorim is waiting to bid farewell to the club he spent 14 months at, it could also be an opportunity for him to lift the lid on what really happened before his sacking.
