Philadelphia Museum of Art name change reversed after 4 months

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia’s art museum is reversing course on a name change after four months.

You can once again call it the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

In October, the museum announced a name change, calling itself the Philadelphia Art Museum.

It was part of a rebranding effort, which drew criticism.

But on Wednesday afternoon, the museum’s board of trustees voted unanimously to go back to its original name.
