STANFORD, Calif. – In a game that came down to the final possessions, Stanford men’s basketball fell late to No. 20/19 Clemson, 66-64, at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal drops to 14-9 this season and 3-7 in the ACC.

Aidan Cammann led the Cardinal with a career-high 19 points, finishing 7-for-12 from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers and a 3-for-3 mark at the free throw line, to go with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Also strong inside, Oskar Giltay added eight points, on 4-for-4 shooting, with 11 rebounds, two steals and one block. Giltay moved into a tie for 10th with Kim Belton on Stanford’s all-time freshman blocks list.

Ebuka Okorie finished with 18 points and three assists, passing Casey Jacobsen for fourth place on Stanford’s all-time freshman scoring list and moving within one point of the top three. Okorie’s rise through the freshman record book spans multiple categories, as the Nashua, New Hampshire native also moved into a tie for fifth in field goals, a tie for eighth in 3-pointers and ninth in steals.

The Cardinal defense forced 12 turnovers and collected 10 steals, and it posted 10 offensive rebounds, but Clemson (19-4, 9-1 ACC) held a 22-to-9 advantage in free throw attempts.

Ryan Agarwal got the scoring started early with back-to-back 3-pointers over the first 2:05, but Clemson held the largest lead of the night in the first half at seven points with 5:23 to play, 26-19. Stanford responded with a 13-4 run to close the half, with Okorie finding Cammann at the buzzer to give the Cardinal a 32-30 lead at the intermission.

Stanford led by as many as six points with 14:19 to play , and the game was tied on two different occasions inside the final six minutes. Tied at 62-62 in the closing minute, Clemson made a pair of free throws and Stanford’s attempt at a 3-pointer to take the lead missed.

The Cardinal moves to 4-2 over its past six ranked contests at Maples Pavilion, dating back to 2023.
