Claire Kittle, the wife of San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, can officially call herself a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model.

For those unfamiliar with their love story, Claire and George met when they were both athletes at the University of Iowa. While he was developing into a NFL prospect, she was suiting up for the women’s basketball team. By April of 2021, they had a backyard wedding at their home in Nashville.

She’s been by George’s side through all the ups and downs in his career, which includes a torn Achilles in the opening round of this year’s NFL playoffs.

“Disbelief and stillness were all I felt as I yelled, get up, get up, over and over again. He always gets up. He’s George — he can do all things. He just does it. It hurts. There’s no preparing for it,” she wrote on Instagram. “I love this man with everything I have in me. He is a unicorn in this world, and he will be back stronger and better than ever before. The mind of a heartbroken athlete is a determined one. He is un-(expletive)-able, as is this entire team. I’m proud of these guys and the rally-together grit they fight with each week. It’s a special year, you can feel that and we’re not done yet. Thank you for loving G and carrying some of this pain for us.”

“I want to say yes to more because I’m really good at saying no,” Kittle said. “This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and being an athlete my entire life, I love something to work towards. A goal. And so it’s just really cool that [SI Swimsuit] even thought of me in the first place.”

Unsurprisingly, Kittle’s cover photo for SI Swimsuit is going viral this Thursday.

Making a difference off the field.

When she’s not in the stands cheering for her husband, Kittle is tackling as many passion projects as possible.

In addition to having her own podcast, “Kittle Things,” she founded the HOSS Tailgate Tour.

“What I’m most proud of is that I started a brand called ‘HOSS,’ which stands for ‘The House of Sport and Sisterhood,'” she told SI Swimsuit. “And with that, I traveled around to a couple of different football games, hosted tailgates and brought women together to meet and hang out, share stories, contact info, make friends and then go to the game together.”

We can’t wait to see what’s next for Kittle.
