A Queensland man will appear in court today after allegedly threatening multiple federal politicians on social media.

The threatening messages were posted on X between December 10 and December 15 last year.

Australian Federal Police allegedly linked the account to a 39-year-old man.

Officers raided a unit at Woodridge in Logan, Queensland, on December 19 last year.

They seized swords, axes, and electronic files.

Police will allege the records of the social media threats were found on the man’s mobile phone and desktop computer.

He was charged with one count of using a carriage service to menace or harass.

If found guilty, he could face a maximum of five years in jail.

He was granted bail and is expected in court today.
