Alfie Davis wants to do battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov after  the former gets through his clash this weekend with Usman Nurmagomedov. Davis vs. Nurmagomedov is for the latter’s lightweight title and takes place at PFL Dubai on February 7th.
The self described Dagi-Destroyer has quite a history with the Dagestan-based fighters at this point and when expounding upon that, Davis said [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“Yeah, I mean, I beat a Dagestani last time. Obviously I’m going to beat Usman and then I’m going to be calling out Khabib to come out of retirement. Because yeah, there’s going to be no more daggies from the Nurmagomedov school for me to beat. So, I think Khabib has got to lace up them gloves again.”

Khabib and Usman are both in Davis’ crosshairs ahead of PFL Dubai

While delving into the amendments that led to him winning the 2025 PFL tournament and overcoming his impostor syndrome to secure this lineal title shot, Davis stated [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“It’s like it’s weird because last year every thing just sort of fell into place. I’ve heard it coined like big things come when you want to give up. I wanted to give up and then big things started to happen. It was like I was never really that spiritual or sort of religious. But like after this year, it sort of made me realize wow, there is something to this and like I’ve sort of, yeah.”

“So I’m sort of coming into path that I think everything happens for a reason and this fight the way my career’s panned out and what’s been happening, I feel like this is another chapter to that. I think that I sort of need to give this entitled boy a lesson and yeah, really help the PFL brand in bringing it up. Cuz we need a star.”

“We need a big star. You know, I think Usman wants to leave go to the UFC and I think once I beat Usman I will be that star. Then maybe Khabib can come out of retirement or I can carry on beating up some more Dagestanis.”
