AFL star Bailey Smith is set to lose his driver’s licence after he was caught speeding well over the limit last month.
The Herald Sun reports the Geelong Cats star was driving at 125km/h near his home on Victoria’s Surf Coast during the state’s recent bushfires.

It’s reported Smith was concerned about his 5.8 hectare home and the animals on the property at Bellbrae when he was caught speeding in January.
The speeding offence has taken Smith over his demerit points allocation and he is now set to lose his driver’s licence for three months.
It’s the latest controversy for Smith, who has rarely been out of the headlines since he switched teams from the Western Bulldogs to Geelong.
He effectively forced Geelong to cancel Mad Monday events going forward after he posted an in appropriate photo and caption referring to veteran footy journalist Caroline Wilson.
Late in the season, Smith verbally abused a female Geelong Advertiser photographer during a media-approved training session, prompting an official warning from the AFL.
AFL CEO Andrew Dillon visited Smith’s home for a discussion about his off field conduct and behaviour on social media.
The 25-year-old had a career best season in his maiden campaign with Geelong, playing in the Cats’ grand final loss to the Brisbane Lions.
Smith was named to his first all-Australian team, revealing he had spent time in a psychiatric ward before moving to Geelong.
He was romantically linked to influencer Tammy Hembrow last year, but this week Smith was spotted with a new woman in his life.
The gun midfielder was seen at Melbourne Airport on Sunday with the same woman he was pictured with during a date in Manly — on Sydney’s Northern Beaches last week.
Media Mode has identified the woman as Holly Kleverlaan, a Melburnian, who previously lived in Perth.
The 25-year-old footballer appeared frustrated after noticing that a photographer was there to capture the moment the couple returned to Melbourne.
He was photographed sticking his middle finger up in the direction of the camera.
Smith is deep in pre-season training and it was announced on Wednesday he will feature in the AFL’s State of Origin showdown between Victoria and Western Australia on February 14.
