Nightcliff are currently sitting pretty in third but a strong percentage boost against Wanderers will take them a long way ahead of next week’s final round.

Every moment of the match will be streamed live and free from 4pm on Saturday by The NT News and KommunityTV as part of our season-long NTFL coverage.

WHY TO WATCH

The Tigers currently sit on 40 points, equal with PINT who they previously tied with, and just two points behind second-placed St Mary’s.

Nightcliff meet PINT next week in a match that will determine who finishes third and who misses out on the double chance, meaning building form this week is essential.

They started their last match against fifth placed Waratah at a canter scoring seven unanswered goals in the first quarter, but didn’t exactly dominate the remainder of the game at the same pace.

Against Wanderers starting strong will again be essential, but they need to keep that electricity throughout the entire encounter.

Brandan Parfitt played one of his best games of the season and scored two goals, while Mitchell Trewhella has built into perhaps the find of the season.

Up forward they may have missed Wade Derksen, who has slipped from the top of the goal kicking with his absence, but others such as Shay Linke have emerged as real options.

And again, the Tigers will want to flex those muscles in a match that despite sitting on the opposite end of the table to Wanderers they won’t take lightly in terms of preparation.

Wanderers have struggled since the Christmas break and scored just five points last time out against the league leaders Southern Districts.

But given this is their final match of the season they just have pride to play for and that should be enough to grab some highlights.

Tyler Phillips returns to the side and has genuinely been one of the better rucks of the season, while Cody Leggett is also back as one of the premium midfielders.

Local players such as Matthew Motlop and Daniel Clee will also be looking to end their season on a high as Muk Muks eyes turn to a revival for next season.
