NBC has plenty of experience hosting the Super Bowl, having held American sports’ biggest spectacle 21 times — the first of which took place in the contest’s 1967 debut.

Much of the attention centers around the network’s “Sunday Night Football” crew. Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth lead the line in the broadcast booth, standing on the shoulders of other sports broadcasting titans, including Pat Summerall, John Madden and Al Michaels.

They’re not alone in talking shop under the NBC banner. The network’s studio features a handful of notable names, figures likely to bask in even more spotlight while caught underneath the glow of the Lombardi Trophy.

With that, here’s a look at NBC’s “Football Night in America” studio crew.

Who makes up the ‘Football Night in America’ studio team?Maria Taylor

Taylor will reprise her role as the lead host of NBC’s studio football show. She’s been a fixture on NBC programming since arriving from ESPN in 2021, serving as a correspondent on the network’s football, basketball, tennis and Olympic coverage.

A former collegiate basketball and volleyball standout at Georgia, Taylor previously worked at ESPN, drawing plaudits for her college football and NBA insight. She replaced Mike Tirico as the “Football Night in America” host in 2021 following Tirico’s promotion to the “Sunday Night Football” play-by-play seat.

Tony Dungy

Dungy, 70, is the second-longest-tenured member of NBC’s NFL crew, only bested by “Sunday Night Football” color commentator Cris Collinsworth. Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a coach after leading the Buccaneer and Colts to success, Dungy was hired in 2009 to join NBC’s football coverage.

Dungy posted a 139-69 record (.668) as an NFL taskmaster. Prior to his time on the sidelines, he spent four seasons in the NFL as a player, turning out for the Steelers, 49ers and Giants.

Jason Garrett

Like Dungy, Garrett is a former player-turned-coach who has since successfully transitioned into the broadcast booth. The former Cowboys head coach has been a part of NBC’s coverage crew since 2022, initially joining to man the booth during USFL games. One month later, he joined the “Football Night in America” cast. He’s been there ever since.

Devin McCourty

Rounding out the list of “Football Night in America” contributors is former Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty. The 38-year-old enjoyed a glistening 13-year career with New England, capturing three Super Bowl titles while two Pro Bowls. He made his NBC Sports debut in 2023.
