Coady caught Australia’s attention when she landed on the podium at the 2022 Beijing Games, taking the bronze in the snowboard slopestyle.

The 25-year-old from Melbourne also won a bronze medal in slopestyle at the 2021 Snowboard World Champs and a bronze medal in big air at the 2023 world championships.

So, a bit of a talent. She also has endless enthusiasm and energy that makes her so enjoyable to watch – and root for!

At 5:30am AEDT she’ll be in action in the snowboard big air event, alongside fellow Aussies and Olympic debutants Meila Stalker and Ally Hickman.

Plenty on today

There are seven medal events today: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country country skiing (three Aussies), figure skating, luge (an Aussie), snowboard (three Aussies) and speed skating.

Then there’s also ski jumping, ice hockey and curling — not quite at the medal stages yet.

Right now, it’s the snowboard women’s PGS qualification runs underway.
