Applications are now open for the Western Australia Government’s 2026 Digital Public Sector Graduate Program, as the state seeks to attract the next generation of talented professionals.
The state’s whole-of-Government Digital Public Sector Graduate Program, which is being led by the Office of Digital Government, is hoping to attract top-tier science, technology, engineering and maths graduates.
So far, 49 graduates have participated in the Program across 17 government agencies since the program began in 2024.
In its inaugural year, the Program saw the WA Government gain recognition as a Top Graduate Employer from the Australian Association of Graduate Employers.
Graduates who take part in the Program are able to apply their talents across a range of specialised streams within the ICT field, including cyber security, data science, ICT operations, and the new geospatial information systems stream introduced in 2025, through a structured series of agency rotations.
“The Cook Government welcomes news that this program has been so well-received by both graduates and agencies and is recognised as one of the top programs in Australia,” said WA’s Science and Innovation Minister, Stephen Dawson.
“This program’s success in recruiting top-tier STEM graduates and partnering with 17 government agencies since 2024 highlights our dedication to fostering a skilled and dynamic workforce.”
Applications close 25 August 2025. More information can be found on the Digital Public Sector Graduate Program website or by emailing digitalgradprogram@dpc.wa.gov.au.
