Melbourne has a new jumps park for riders and skateboarders close to the city in West Melbourne.
Â
Delivered by the West Gate Tunnel Project, the new all-ages facility is nestled under the Veloway along Footscray Road.
Â
It is easy to get to via the Veloway bridge over the Moonee Ponds Creek. This connection links the park directly to the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail and the new Dixon Veloway along Footscray Road, creating integration with the broader cycling network.
Â
The park transforms previously underutilised space beneath CityLink into a high-quality recreation hub.Â
Â
Combining jumps, skills and pump tracks, the park caters for a range of skill levels and ages and includes seating to view the new tracks and landscaping.
Â
Member for Footscray Katie Hall recently officially opened the park.
Â
“The West Gate Tunnel Project has delivered enormous benefits for the inner west, and this new jumps park is a great example of what the project offers beyond the tunnel itself,” she said.
