Juan Sebastián Molano 🇨🇴
Team: UAE Team Emirates
Career wins: 28
There was talk last year of teams trying to facilitate Molano ending his contract early, but UAE Team Emirates-XRG were not receptive, and the Colombian rider is currently serving the final year of his existing deal. With a win already this season at the Tour of Oman, there will almost certainly be interest in his services, and at 31, this is probably his last opportunity to join a team where he’s more than just an afterthought. The question he will face is whether he wants to change teams for the first time since joining the WorldTour, and whether he is happy where he is or wants greater responsibility. Jayco were among the teams interested last year and might contact him again, but Movistar or Astana, teams where his agent, Alex Carera, already has riders, could also be options for the sprinter.
