“Let’s load up on these carbohydrates!”

Those were the words of Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett as he started his UFC 324 fight day preparations with a hearty breakfast … and then never really stopped eating.

Pimblett often goes on a bit of a mukbang after every fight, binge eating over 10,000 calories a day to make up for the extreme pre-fight dieting he does to get down to 155. But this time we’re getting a glimpse into his fight day eating, and it was certainly something for his interim lightweight title fight against Justin Gaethje.

A new video on Pimblett’s YouTube show him feasting on a big breakfast of hash browns, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. Once he arrives at the arena he’s hitting up a turkey sandwich and munching on biscuits. Then he’s on to a massive bag of Sour Patch Kids as he waits for his fight to begin. While Paddy said they were the perfect bit of carbs and energy, they didn’t sit well.

“Just crucified that bog,” Pimblett said, returning from the bathroom. “Lad, it was about six logs. It just wouldn’t stop.”

For all the trash he puts in his body, Paddy’s diet didn’t prevent him from performing at UFC 325. He didn’t beat Justin Gaethje, but he hung with “The Highlight” for five hard rounds, surviving what many of Gaethje’s past opponents could not. So as usual, any criticism of Pimblett’s eating habits need to be followed up with the question: ‘But did it negatively affect him?’

It may have negatively affected the fighters who had to share his bathroom, but that’s about it.
