Nathan Jones wants his side to build on their recent results as they go into the middle of a hat-trick of home games in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Addicks, who shared a goalless draw with Queens Park Rangers last time out, face Stoke City on Wednesday night at The Valley.

“We need to keep doing the right things, and doing the basics well,” the gaffer said.

“We kept two clean sheets which has been good, especially after the previous game. That gives you the foundation to have the chance of winning games. What we want to show is some real quality in the final third, we just couldn’t quite get the goal that would have won us the game [against QPR].

“I’m a big believer in that keeping clean sheets gives you a real opportunity to keep winning games. We work religiously on our attacking play, it is just decisions and outcome on the pitch that can win you it. With two home games coming up, we will look to progress further.

“[Stoke] have had a very productive season, their manager knows the league, and he has an excellent structure. He’s come in off the back of doing a fantastic job at his previous club. I know it’s going to be a tough game – they signed well in the window.

“It’s nice to be in front of our home fans for a sustained period, we’re very pleased to be at home. We want to turn our performances at home into wins.”

Miles Leaburn missed last Friday’s clash with the R’s due to a shoulder injury.

“Miles is a lot closer today with the way he has trained,” Jones revealed. “We just have to be careful with it, as it’s contact that can cause the issue, so it will be a late decision [whether or not he plays].”
