Samsung has released a new beta update for One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S25 series, with the Android 16-based update delivering just a few small tweaks and fixes.

One UI 8.5 is expected to see its stable release soon with the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, but the beta program has been ongoing for the Galaxy S25 series for a while now. After a considerable wait, the fourth beta for One UI 8.5 has now arrived, as spotted by Tarun Vats and several others.

This latest update, despite weighing in at nearly 1.5GB, contains nothing but a few bug fixes, at least according to Samsung’s changelog.

Fixes in Beta 4 include:

Fixed an issue where the clock on the lock screen moved down

Fixed an issue when clicking search history in the phone app

Resolved the problem where calls switch to the device under specific conditions while using a BT headset

Fixed an issue when pasting phone numbers into the keypad after clicking a call link

Fixed an issue where Al Select does not automatically close when “Copy” is selected

Not too exciting, but continued progress towards the stable version. The update is likely to get another beta update (or two, or even more possibly) before a full release, but that probably won’t happen until after the Galaxy S26 goes on sale which is expected to land in early March.

For now, the beta remains solely on Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with no signs of expansion. The latest beta is available in most regions already, but may take a day or two to roll out widely to all users.
