iHeartMedia flipped Classic Rock “93.1 The Mountain” KYMT Las Vegas to Variety Hits “Neon 93.1” at noon today.
The company lists core artists as including Green Day, Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Nelly, Coldplay, No Doubt, and Eminem with an emphasis on the 1990s and 2000s. The new brand launched with Eminem “Without Me”, AC/DC “Thunderstuck”, Jagged Edge “Let’s Get Married”, Panic! At the Disco “High Hopes”, and Big Pun featuring Joe “Still Not A Player”.
The flip marks a return to Variety Hits for KYMT, which originally took on that format when it became “93.1 The Mountain” in 2016 before seguing to Rock in 2018.
SVP/Programming MoJoe Roberts said, “We are excited to light up the airwaves with the same electric vibe that defines our city. Neon 93.1 is bold, unpredictable and exhilarating—bringing listeners a nonstop hit experience that’s uniquely Vegas.”
Area President Glynn Alan commented, “We’re incredibly excited to launch Neo 93.1, a bold new brand that truly reflects the energy and unpredictability of Las Vegas. This station creates a fresh, high‑impact environment for advertisers to connect with consumers at scale, and we believe NEON 93.1 will drive meaningful engagement and strong results for our marketing partners across the market.”
KYMT registered a 2.4 share in the Holiday 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings. The new format positions the station up against Beasley Media Classic Hits 96.3 KKLZ and the Hot AC pair of Audacy’s “Mix 94.1” KMXB and Beasley’s 107.9 KVGS.
