TUCSON, ARIZ. – Arizona Women’s Golf sits in third place at the Thunderbird Intercollegiate, hosted by Lorena Ochoa after day one. The Wildcats are 11-over par through 36 holes at Tucson Country Club. A handful of teams have one hole left to finish in their second round, which will take place in the morning.
Charlotte Back and Julia Misemer had the low scores of the day, as they both are tied for seventh place at even par. Back had nine birdies across 36 holes and Misemer played the par fives at 4-under par.
Nena Wongthanavimok carded rounds of 75 and 74. Maria Cabanillas shot a 77 in round one and bounced back with a 73 in round two. Kinsley Ni is 15-over par with her best round of 76 coming in the second round.
The Wildcats are within the top five in scoring average on par threes, fours and fives.
The Wildcats will tee off for the final round at 8:30am.
