Even though Apple doesn’t use the biggest batteries in its smartphones, the company has always been able to provide great battery life for its flagship devices. That trend looks set to continue with the iPhone 18 series, according to new leaks.

Weibo user Digital Chat Station, with information from the Apple supply chain, indicates that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will have a battery capacity of 5,100mAh to 5,200mAh. With the A20 Pro chip’s power efficiency, this could mean that the device has an amazing battery life.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 5,088mAh battery, and that already provides an amazing battery life. At MobileSyrup, we rated it as runner-up for the best battery performance in 2025, losing only to the OnePlus 15, which has a 7,300mAh battery.

Alongside the iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple is expected to launch its first foldable, which could have a 5,500mAh battery. This would be really impressive for a foldable, comparing it to the likes of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

We’re months away from an iPhone 18 series launch; however, with a fantastic battery life, smaller Dynamic Island and the A20 Pro, I’m looking forward to September.
