The UFC White House card is about to get built.
This summer, the UFC will hold an unprecedented event, a fight card on the White House lawn in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Since its announcement last year, the card has been the major talking point in MMA, with fighters clamoring for a spot on the event, and fans fantasy-booking the card. But soon, there will be no need for speculation as the UFC is about to have a plan for the event.
On Tuesday, UFC CEO Dana White responded to a rumor that Conor McGregor vs. Colby Covington was being planned for UFC White House, calling it “total BS” and revealing that the promotion is booking the event this week and should have their plans ironed out by the weekend.
“Total BS……. White House matchmaking meeting is tomorrow. Mick Maynard flying in tomorrow for it. We will have fights dialed in by this weekend.”
UFC White House takes place on June 14.
