The singles championship match of the upcoming Dow Tennis Classic will be moved up from 2 p.m. to noon on Sunday, Feb. 22, so that the match can be aired live on the Tennis Channel.

This marks the first time in the event’s 37-year history that the singles final will be played at noon.

Jeff Rekeweg, DTC tournament director and executive director of the Greater Midland Tennis Center, called the broadcast “a significant milestone for DTC.”

“The partnership with the Tennis Channel is an exciting development for DTC and will give many more fans a chance to see the elite level of play that takes place here in Midland, right as it happens,” said Rekeweg.

“This opportunity came about through our partnership with Topnotch Management, whose relationship with the Tennis Channel made this broadcast possible,” he added. “It’s deeply meaningful to our staff, volunteers, and community partners who work tirelessly every year to make this a premier event, and it’s an honor to share it with a wider audience.”
