Naderi joined Rangers on transfer deadline day and Danny Rohl could take his team to Germany for a friendly as part of the deal

Ryan Naderi could be back at Hansa Rostock this summer with Rangers set to play a friendly as part of the £4.3million deadline day deal.

After protracted negotiations with Hansa Rostock, the Ibrox club finally landed the big striker and he’s off the mark already, bagging a brace in the 8-0 Scottish Cup demolition of Queen’s Park, which has set up a quarter-final showdown with Celtic.

The fee paid for Naderi was a record for the German third tier and Danny Rohl looks to be heading back to his homeland this summer for a friendly encounter in Rostock.

Aston Villa and Lazio have come to town for glamour friendlies in recent years, and the club’s sports director, Amir Shapourzadeh, said: “I can’t reveal any exact contract details here, but of course it would be nice to have another big match at our Ostseestadion.

“We’ve always had football festivals here in the summer and they have always been attended by over 20,000 fans.

“So it would be cool to do it again this summer, especially if Ryan Naderi is playing in the game.”

Rangers have recently faced Hoffenheim and Union Berlin in Germany for friendly matches in the summer.

Fallen German giants Dynamo Dresden have already announced they have invited Rangers for a match this summer to mark their first-ever game in European football.
