Eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans believe they’ve uncovered newcomer Jodie Ramsey’s big secret after studying her keepsakes, namely a mysterious lighter. Jodie entered the soap in January’s explosive Corriedale episode while held captive in a van driven by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster.
Following her escape and the multi-vehicle pile-up, it was revealed that she was the estranged sister of Shona Platt.
Deciding to head to the cobbles alongside Shona, her husband David Platt, and their newborn daughter, mystery has surrounded Jodie’s intentions.
Scenes in Monday’s episode of the ITV soap saw Shona follow Jodie, believing that she was hiding something.
She joined her at a psychiatric facility, where Jodie eventually told her sister that she had been left caring for their dad after Shona had abandoned them.

Doug later tried to warn Shona to stay away from Jodie and branded her a “liar”, but she ushered her sister away and warned Doug “not to mess things up for her”.
Last night’s episode saw Jodie sifting through a keepsake box that she had been hiding, which included an engraved lighter.
Fans of the ITV soap believe that the simple item holds a big clue as to Jodie’s true intentions, bearing a message that reads “love you Jonesy”.
Taking to social media to air their theories, many think that the box of items has been taken from the victims she has targeted over the years, through manipulation or possibly worse.

“Jodie just feels like the next serial killer in waiting… #corrie,” one user wrote on X, while another added: “I might be getting too carried away but this box of random things is very much giving Meena Jutla’s trinket box.”
Emmerdale villain Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, arrived in the village as a nurse but turned out to be a notorious serial killer, claiming several lives, including those of Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate, and Ben Tucker.
On Reddit, one person theorised: “I dunno, maybe the box is her trophy cabinet of all the weird s**t she’s done over the years? That’s the vibe I got.”
Another pointed to her locket, adding: “I think there’s a twist these girls on the locket are indeed Jodie’s daughters and there is a shocking revelation Jodie maybe thinking that Shona is responsible for their deaths.”
