Two people have been hospitalised with stab wounds following a disturbance outside a Brisbane leagues club.

Queensland Police said emergency services were called to Easts Leagues Club on Main Avenue, Coorparoo, about 5:15pm on Thursday to reports of a “disturbance involving multiple people”.

A 20-year-old woman was found at the scene with stab wounds to her head and body, while a 61-year-old man was found with a stab wound to the abdomen.

They were both taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

Another man, 33, who had minor injuries, was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.

Another woman, 41, suffered a minor injury to her arm in the incident.

In a statement posted to social media, Easts Leagues Club said there were “no ongoing concerns” following the incident.

“Our thoughts are with everyone involved during this difficult time,” the Facebook post said.

“Our venue is currently closed as we focus on supporting our staff and community.”
