One lucky Aussie is a newly minted multi-millionaire after taking out Powerball’s biggest jackpot of the year. The prize money skyrocketed after four consecutive weeks without a division one win.
The winner correctly selected all the winning numbers, plus the Powerball.
Those numbers were 20, 30, 21, 18, 11, 14 and 12, with the all-important Powerball 7.
While few details are known about the winner those who had registered tickets will soon be receiving a call from The Lott officials confirming the good news.
So far, only one Powerball major prize has been won in 2026 — a $20m draw on January 8 that was split between two winners.
The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said they were expecting a flurry of ticket purchases in the hours before the game.
“We anticipate a rush across the country as Aussies vie for the chance to score the biggest jackpot offered by any Australian lottery game so far this year,” she said.
“Our top tip for players is to register your entry in-store or online with The Lott Members Club. By registering an entry, we’ll be able to reach out to you immediately after the draw and deliver the life-changing news if you were to win big.”
Secret book inside exclusive Winners Lounge
Ahead of the life-changing draw, officials from The Lott revealed an insight into the mind of past winners.
After receiving the life-changing phone call that they’ve won millions, winners are invited to the exclusive Winners Lounge, where they claim their windfall and their new life truly begins.
At the heart of the lounge is a guest book, where the winners anonymously record their first, unfiltered thoughts about their future.
Photos show handwritten responses from real winners, with funny, heartfelt and, of course, materialistic goals.
