They might look like Bambi but they’re making a big mess.

There are tens of thousands of fallow deer trampling across the landscape.

Some reckon keeping their partially protected status is a weird colonial hangover, they were introduced as a game animal for recreational hunting almost two centuries ago.

Now they outnumber some of our most iconic species.
