Gary Neville and Ian Wright both saw eye to eye on Leny Yoro after the Manchester United defender’s performance against West Ham at the London Stadium.
Leny Yoro had been a regular starter in the three-man backline of Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for Manchester United in the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

However, the 20-year-old Frenchman’s form was inconsistent in the current season ahead of Ruben Amorim being sacked as Man Utd manager in January.
Yoro has been left fighting for United first-team minutes under interim head coach Michael Carrick, who has shifted the Red Devils to a four-man backline again.
Michael Carrick has relied on the main centre-back partnership of Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez in his opening five Premier League matches since his appointment.

Leny Yoro came off the bench in the second half of Manchester United’s encounter with West Ham and the Red Devils centre-back put in a steady showing overall.
The former Lille ace’s only other performance under Michael Carrick came with his late substitution in Man Utd’s 3-2 win over Fulham at Old Trafford earlier this month.

Both Gary Neville and Ian Wright praised two key blocks that Yoro made late in United’s 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Speaking on The Overlap’s Stick to Football podcast, Neville said: “Yoro made two good challenges, by the way, the last few minutes.”
Wright added: “That was a good block. Two good blocks.”
Ian Wright mocks Man Utd legend Roy Keane amid his praise for Leny Yoro’s performance against West Ham
Roy Keane, as usual, was delivering one of his moans about players doing ‘what is expected from them’ and Wright did not pass up the opportunity to mock him.
“Isn’t that what he is meant to do, Roy? I don’t know,” Wright said.
“Yoro [is] making all those tackles.”
Yoro has featured in 24 matches across all competitions for Man Utd in the 2025-26 campaign and the French defender has one assist to his name.
