Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens Turkish forward Cedi Osman reacted to Friday night’s brawl in a game against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.

After hitting a buzzer-beater to win the game 85-83, Fenerbahce guard Wade Baldwin IV went to celebrate at center court, which sparked a heated reaction from Panathinaikos injured center Mathias Lessort, who stormed toward Fenerbahce’s players, leading to a confrontation.

Osman believes Baldwin disrespected the club by celebrating on Panathinaikos’ logo, saying this was the sole reason for the postgame scuffle.

“Obviously, that was not really professional of him, especially to disrespect this club, which is much, much bigger than he could even imagine. That was the reason there was a scuffle at the end. Fine, you won a game, and you can celebrate, but not like that,” Osman told the media after the game, via Gazzetta.

“You cannot disrespect this club. These fans are going to remember this, and we are going to remember this,” he added.

Even after the court incident, tensions flared in the corridors. Lessort confronted Fenerbahce players after the match and followed them into the hallway. When Tarik Biberovic went for an interview, Lessort reportedly stepped in front of the cameras and tried to block it, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

Ergin Ataman missed the postgame press conference due to feeling unwell, Panathinaikos said.

Fenerbahçe players, who had just secured first place in the EuroLeague with a 20-7 record, tried to continue their celebration, but the postgame chaos overshadowed their victory. Panathinaikos is now 16-12 and in ninth place.

A similar incident occurred during the first matchup between Fenerbahçe and Panathinaikos in Istanbul, when Baldwin pushed Jerian Grant away from Fenerbahçe’s logo.
