2026 NFL Combine ResultsKenyon Sadiq, Oregon, TEPros of Kenyon Sadiq
Possesses a rare level of explosiveness; gets up to his top speed in a hurry, while showing impressive leaping ability
High-effort blocker who excels on the move; does his best work in space against linebackers and defensive backs
Outstanding after catch ability; good quickness to make the first defender miss, while possessing the straight line speed to eliminate angles
Flashes tremendous upside winning above the rim; possesses strong hands and the ability to finish through contact
Still a very young prospect; has all the physical talent and developmental upside to become a Pro Bowl tight end on the next level
Physically put together frame; no bad weight on his frame, and is proportionally built in the lower and upper body
Cons of Kenyon Sadiq
Route running is very raw right now; he doesn’t always get in and out of breaks clean, and lacks nuance overall
Very inconsistent tracking the football in the air; needs to be better finishing at the catch point overall
Inconsistent production during his college career; still far from his overall upside, making him a bit of a boom or bust player in the passing game
BackgroundÂ
Sadiq was considered to be a consensus four-star player by each of the major recruiting platforms coming out of Idaho Falls (Idaho) Skyline in the 2023 class. On the 247 Sports Composite ranking, Sadiq ended up rated as the No. 122 overall player, the No. 4 athlete, and the No. 1 player from the state of Idaho for the 2023 recruiting class. He chose Oregon over offers from Texas, Michigan, Washington, Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, BYU, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Washington State, West Virginia, Oregon State, Stanford, and Kansas, among several others.

After serving as more of a reserve his first two seasons in Eugene, especially as a sophomore, Sadiq proceeded to break out in 2025. In three seasons with the Ducks, he managed to haul in 80 receptions for 892 yards and 11 touchdowns. Sadiq was selected as an All-Big Ten selection during his final season. Sadiq declared for the 2026 NFL Draft on January 13, 2026, bypassing his final year of eligibility with Oregon.
He was born on March 4, 2005, and will be 21 years old during his entire first season in the NFL. Some viewed Sadiq as a defensive recruit coming out of high school. He has a background as a basketball player, as well as a sprinter in track and field.
Player Evaluation
Before the 2025 college football season, NFL scouts were raving about Sadiq, often comparing him to former San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler Vernon Davis. From a pure talent perspective, it is hard not to fall in love with the upside that Sadiq brings to the table. He has rare explosiveness at the tight end position, getting up to top speed in a hurry. That explosiveness also pops off the film when Sadiq elevates to attack the football in the air. This is a dense, yet extremely gifted overall mover, who has some big-time long speed to boot. Add in the fact that Sadiq filled out his frame and morphed into one of the better blockers in the 2026 class this past season, and you have a potential all-around threat from the tight end position with All-Pro upside. Sadiq is especially appealing, considering he was only 20 years old the last time we saw him on a football field.

With Sadiq still being a younger player, there are still some improvements you will want to see as an overall football player. Sadiq mostly wins off pure athleticism right now, needing to up his nuance across the board. That particularly comes as a route runner, where he lacks a feel for how to set up opposing defenders. His routes need to be crisper, and Sadiq needs to gain a more in-depth understanding for tempo and how to attack blind spots. For such a springy athlete, Sadiq also doesn’t dominate in the air like he should all the time. His ball tracker can be very inconsistent, taking improper angles to the catch point, as well as mistiming his jump. For whatever reason, Sadiq never fully broke out as a pass catcher in college. You are still very much betting on upside, which is somewhat concerning for a player who could go inside the top 15 overall selections.
All the building blocks are there for Sadiq to develop into an All-Pro player down the road. He brings a dense frame to the table, athleticism, and blocking ability to establish a role early on. How well he develops the little nuances as a pass receiver will quickly determine how quickly Sadiq reaches his ceiling, if he does.
