MIXED martial arts enthusiasts are in for a spectacular treat to jump-start the 2026 season as Southside Cage War (SCW) stages its first event of the year—and its third installment overall—on Saturday, March 1, at the ONE Fitness MMA Academy in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The event will feature a total of 13 bouts on the fight card, showcasing a mix of professional and amateur bouts in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts.
Headlining the event is a high-stakes boxing championship clash between Arvin “Asintado” Chan and Emmanuel “The Rain” Isuekpe. Adding more intensity to the night is the co-main event, where Juro “The Panther” Amandoron squares off against Sunny Banyaga in a battle for the strawweight MMA championship.
Also drawing strong interest are two championship bouts: the women’s MMA title showdown between Mylene Matias and Byiea Barrameda, and the women’s kickboxing championship encounter pitting Gia Gonzales against Janes Bangga.
The highly anticipated fight card coincides with the celebration of ONE Fitness MMA Academy’s first anniversary, underscoring the promotion’s rapid growth since its inception.
“We established SCW to help promote the gym and, more importantly, to give aspiring fighters a platform where they can showcase their martial arts skills and use it as a stepping stone toward international competition,” said ONE Fitness MMA Academy co-founder Krislen Artillaga.
Artillaga added that Southside Cage War is envisioned as a launchpad for homegrown talent across different combat sports disciplines, whether moving up to top local MMA promotions or pursuing opportunities overseas.
Meanwhile, fellow co-founder Enzo Artillaga shared that bigger plans are already in the works for the promotion within this year.
“ONE Fitness has a lot planned for SCW. We’ll discuss these in time, so stay tuned. It may seem like we’re just getting started, but with the support of coaches and the community, we hope this promotion continues to boom itself.” he said.
Tickets are now available for fans eager to witness the action live, priced at ₱250 for back seats and ₱400 for VIP seats, with the latter inclusive of free drinks.
