Eels centre Jordan Samrani exploded in a trial match brain explosion against the Sharks, conceding a penalty after chasing rival Xavier Cacciotti.

The Sharks rookie had put Samrani on his back after the ball was gone during a tackle near the Eels’ line.

As the set continued on, Samrani chased after Cacciotti and tried to man handle him.

“You don’t do that when you’re bringing the football out of your own end,” Greg Alexander said on Fox League.

“You don’t go chasing a defender.”

The Eels were then penalised for the incident but it didn’t appear a punch was thrown.

“How do you reckon Jason Ryles feels about that? He lost the plot,” Alexander said.

Luckily for Samrani, the Sharks then knocked the ball on in the next play.

While Ryles wouldn’t have been too pleased with that incident, the score was a major positive as the match finished 40-6 in his side’s favour.

A fast start was the key to the result Bailey Simonsson, Ryley Smith, Sean Russell and Teancum Brown all scoring in the first half.

The Eels led 22-6 at the break after Cronulla’s Samuel McCulloch scored right before half-time.

Samrani was first to score in the second half before his brain explosion. Apa Twindle also crossed for a double to seal the emphatic result.
