MUNICH (Germany) – The FIBA Europe Cup Second Round concluded in nail-biting fashion, with many incredible performances that reflect in the various stat lines.

Efficiency – Jake Van Tubbergen (Peristeri Betsson)

Peristeri’s Jake Van Tubbergen was consistent throughout the Second Round, bagging three double-doubles to average 15.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. And, in the process, leading his team to the Quarter-Finals, along with his name on top of the efficiency list with 22.5 and was December MVP.

Franke has been a scoring machine for Turkish debutants Aliaga Petkimspor, averaging 18.3 points in the Second Round, with a high of 29 points on 81 percent shooting against Peristeri playing a key role in his side punching their ticket into the Quarter-Finals.

Meanwhile, Zoltan Perl was also equal to the task leading Falco Vulcano KC Szombathely to the Quarter-Finals in dramatic fashion, as he led his side with 18 points per game.

Ty Nichols, Michael Forrest and Jaylen Barford complete the top five.

Along with leading the Second Round in efficiency, Van Tubbergen also led the way in rebounds, pulling down 9.2 per game, whilst grabbing an impressive 2.7 offensive boards per game as well as 6.5 on the defensive end. He was the key component in Peristeri Betsson’s spot in the Quarter-Finals.

Bosna’s Edin Atic placed second with 8.0 rebounds per game, Ben Moore of PAOK BC was third, with Owen Klasson, Roberts Blumbergs and Claude Robinson in a tie for fourth.

It’s no surprise that Melwin Pantzar is up there amongst the key playmakers in the FIBA Europe Cup once again. This time, the Swedish international led the pack during the Second Round – averaging 6.4 assists per game to lead Bilbao to a flawless 6-0 record.

Zaragoza’s Marco Spissu dished out 5.6 assists in the last six games to be in second. Stanley Whittaker of Aliaga Petkimspor came up third with Sayeed Pridget and Jarrod West ending up in fourth and fifth, respectively.

From being fifth in the Regular Season for blocks to the top of the pile after the Second Round, BC Prievidza’s rim protector Naje Smith has been swatting shots like flies, averaging 2.2 blocks per game in the Second Round for the Slovakian side.

Bilbao’s Tryggvi Hlinason averaged 1.5 blocks per game to finish second, with Reggiana’s JT Thor in third. Martynas Sajus and Jehyve Floyd complete the lineup.
