Tecno’s Camon 50 series was supposed to get unveiled at MWC next month, but the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro are already official in several markets in Africa. The pair share similar specs, but the Pro model does get a curved screen and a 3x telephoto camera.

Camon 50 Pro is built around a curved 6.78″ AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel features a 32MP selfie camera and an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. The non-Pro model features the same screen specs, selfie cam and fingerprint scanner but opts for a flat panel instead of a curved one.
Both phones are equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G200 Ultimate chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Around the back, both feature 50MP main cameras (23mm equivalent) armed with Sony’s LYT700C (1/1.56″) sensor and OIS. They also get 8MP ultrawide sensors (14mm) featuring an f/2.2 aperture. Camon 50 Pro has a third shooter – a 70mm equivalent 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

Both phones boot HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and Tecno’s AI suite. The pair also share 6,150mAh batteries with 45W wired charging as well as IP69K/IP69/IP68 ingress protection.
