True to Dave Grohl’s word, Foo Fighters will return to Australia next summer for a seven-date tour.

After their appearance last month in Launceston, where Dave confirmed the Foos would be back down under before his next birthday (14 January) with new music, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will headline stadium concerts in Brisbane, Townsville, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide in November, before a Perth leg in January (tied to two NZ dates).

“WE’RE COMING BACK! The Take Cover tour is returning to Australia,” declares the group responsible for a generation’s worth of rock anthems: ‘Everlong’, ‘My Hero’, ‘Times Like These’ and ‘All My Life’.

The band have also handpicked 16 of the region’s hottest rising acts to open for them; so arrive early and discover your next favourite band, with a support line-up including the likes of Full Flower Moon Band (Brisbane & Townsville), The Belair Lip Bombs (Sydney & Melbourne), The Buoys (Newcastle), Kurralta Park (Adelaide) and The Southern River Band (Perth).

Their recent Tasmanian voyage saw the band deliver a set of pure aggression with a non-stop barrage of sound turning the air electric – read our review of the concert.

That same concert saw Dave share the band have a new album on the way, the group teasing new music on their socials in recent days.

The band also recently performed at Musicares’ 2026 Person Of The Year honouring Mariah Carey, the band joined onstage by The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen.

Renowned for their marathon sets and career-spanning performances, Foo Fighters have sold over 1.8 million records in Australia alone, with nine #1 albums to date – the most #1s in any territory for the group.

Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin.

Tickets on sale from staggered times on 25 February.
