A luxury golf package that enables travellers to combine world-class play with cultural exploration has been added to the Swan Hellenic program.

The Atlantic Horizons voyage, sailing from Lisbon to the Canary Islands on 7 September 2026, aboard the boutique expedition ship SH Diana, now features an exclusive golf package allowing guests to play on five of the globe’s most prestigious champion-designed courses.

The six-night cruise marries the thrill of golf with the company’s signature cultural excursions. Participants can either book the golf experiences as a full package or select individual rounds in advance.

“Nothing about Swan Hellenic is just par for the course,” said Swan Hellenic CEO Andrea Zito.

“Which is why it gives us such pleasure to take our intrepid guests to experience five of the most magnificent golf courses in the world – all in one unforgettable cruise to see what others don’t.”

The journey begins in Portugal at Palmares Golf Resort in Lagos, where Robert Trent Jones Jr. has crafted a coastal masterpiece with 27 holes across three loops — Alvor, Lagos, and Praia — blending rolling parkland, dunes, and panoramic sea views. Next, the cruise heads to Morocco to visit the Tony Jacklin Casablanca, an 18-hole par 72 set amid the Bouskoura Forest, offering strategic lakes and immaculate fairways.

Guests then play Gary Player’s Golf de Mogador near Essaouira, followed by Golf du Soleil in Agadir, featuring Championship and Tikida courses. The tour concludes at Costa Teguise Golf in Lanzarote, a John Harris-designed course at the foot of a dormant volcano, dotted with over 3,000 palms and breathtaking views of the Atlantic.

Swan Hellenic’s package is designed for convenience and comfort, including transfers, green fees, trolleys, warm-ups, refreshments, and optional e-trolley or e-cart rentals. Additional rounds can be booked, and full care services — from baggage handling to club cleaning — are included. The pace is deliberately relaxed, with approximately 4½ to 5 hours allotted for each 18-hole round on foot.

The cost is USD 375 per course or USD 1,500 for the full five-course experience. Guests who book before the end of February can also benefit from Swan Hellenic’s Elevated Expeditions sale, which offers free Wi-Fi upgrades, onboard credit, and significant cruise savings starting from US$4,025.
