Guy Sebastian is joining the second season of The Piano.

The Australian Idol winner will be replacing Harry Connick Jr. as a mentor in the ABC show’s second instalment, which is set to hit screens on March 15.

He will front the series alongside world-renowned pianist Andrew Lam and host Amanda Keller.

The Piano sees talented Aussies tinkle the ivories on public pianos around Australia, where, unbeknownst to them, Sebastian and Lam are watching.

As the everyday pianists tell their stories and show off their skills behind the keys, the mentors must decide which musician from each location will take to the stage for a special finale concert at Sydney Recital Hall.

“I wanna feel the feels, where you’re taking me to weep town, and making me want to dance as well,” Sebastian gushed while appearing in the trailer.

The new career move comes after Sebastian was praised on social media by one of the biggest names in music.

Celine Dion revealed on TikTok that the 44-year-old singer’s Before I Go features on a playlist of songs she has on repeat.

“I’m Celine. This is what I got on my playlist, just a little bit, because there’s too many artists and too many songs that I love,” she began the clip, which has amassed 8.4 million views since being posted.

In the caption, she wrote: “I’m often asked what I’m listening to, so here are a few songs from my playlist lately.”

“Different moods, different moments…but all ones I love.”

In the video, the 57-year-old listed artists such as Rihanna and Lauren Daigle before name-dropping the beloved Aussie crooner and his 2018 single.

“Oh, Guy Sebastian, do you write songs for other people?” she asked.

The moment saw Sebastian head to the comments section of the post to gush about the music icon, calling Dion a “queen”.

“I’ve watched this clip 1000x. No one comes close to you! Thanks for the shout out Queen,” he penned.
