‘Harry Potter’ Actor Lands New Movie Role After Wildly Successful TV Run originally appeared on Parade.

Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs has found great success in the projects he’s done since wrapping his role as Lucius Malfoy in 2011. And now, his next big role is just around the corner.

On August 5, Deadline confirmed that Isaacs has signed on to be a part of an indie hostage thriller, Eleven Days. Isaacs will star alongside Taylor Kitsch and Diego Luna in the film. Isaacs will play the role of Father Joseph O’Brien who will offer himself as a hostage in an effort to save other people who have been taken hostage.

Isaacs appears very excited for the role and shared Deadline’s article on his Instagram Stories.

His new role comes on the heels of his wild success on HBO’s The White Lotus. His role earned him an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

A few weeks ago, Isaacs looked back on his role as Timothy Ratliff in the show’s epic third season. He took to Instagram to share one of the scenes that stuck with him.

“One of the most profound scenes I’ve ever filmed. Such beauty in the writing. That Tim takes it, at first, as license to kill himself and other family members but, later, as inspiration for accepting fate and welcoming his oneness with all mankind is sheer brilliance from Mike White,” he captioned a clip.
