50 Cent couldn’t help but poke fun at longtime industry peer Ice Cube after Cube’s latest film, War of the Worlds, received an abysmal 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes — a rare feat that caught the attention of fans and critics alike.

On Wednesday (Aug. 6), 50 posted a screengrab of a report highlighting the shocking score and took to Instagram with a trademark mix of sarcasm and side-eye.

“How you get a 0 percent rating? Nah somebody mad at Cube. Now I’m scared to watch it LOL,” he captioned the post, clearly amused by the negative buzz surrounding the film.

War of the Worlds, released on July 30 via Prime Video, is a 2025 screenlife science fiction thriller loosely based on H.G. Wells’ 1898 novel. Directed by Rich Lee, the film stars the Hip-Hop legend as Will Radford, a seasoned surveillance and threat assessment expert working for the Department of Homeland Security.

The ensemble cast also features Eva Longoria, Clark Gregg, Andrea Savage, Henry Hunter Hall, Iman Benson, Devon Bostick, and Michael O’Neill.

Despite its promising premise and star-studded lineup, critics haven’t been kind — with all 10 of the early reviews contributing to a rare 0% “rotten” score as of early August.

While Ice Cube has yet to publicly respond, 50’s lighthearted jab adds a humorous twist to an otherwise rough debut. Whether the film will find redemption with audiences remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure — 50 Cent will be watching, popcorn in hand.
