The metal world was shocked when Arch Enemy announced the departure of frontwoman Alyssa White-Gluz following the release of Blood Dynasty last year. Since then, the band started teasing new material with a new vocalist entering the picture and we all went crazy trying to figure out who it was…

Well, overnight it’s been revealed that not only is the new frontwoman an already established name in heavy music, but she’s an Australian!

Lauren Hart (ex-Once Human) has joined Arch Enemy and tore up the place with her signature growls and we couldn’t be happier. We last spoke with Lauren when Once Human were scheduled to appear in Australia back 2018 (but the tour was canned) and since then she’s been making a name for herself in the industry, growing with every release.

New song ‘To The Last Breath’ is a brutal assault on the senses and showcases Lauren’s dynamic range, while the rest of the band play to her performance. There’s shredding, blastbeats galore and a heaviness that will please even the harshest of fans.

There’s a reason why the rest of the world appreciates Australian heavy music, and this is another prime example of the calibre of talent we have down under who are constantly doing massive things on the global stage.

Guitarist and founding member, Michael Amott, commented on finding Lauren and her inclusion in this new era of Arch Enemy:

“Connecting with Lauren has marked an important step in my journey. Working with her was an exceptional experience — her remarkable voice, coupled with her dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence. I look forward to continuing the collaboration.”

Michael also discusses the song’s connection to the group, harking back to his original vision for the band, stating:

“Musically, it’s unapologetically aligned with my original vision for the band — and I believe longtime fans will recognize that immediately. Lyrically, it’s about seeing through deception and dismantling the illusion of control. It captures that moment when you realize you’ve been fed poison — and you choose to fight back. Once that clarity hits, there’s no retreat. It’s do or die.”

This is just the start of what’s to come and all eyes and ears are on Lauren and co. as they bring in the metal group to a new age.
