Conor McDavid’s wife, Lauren McDavid, just shared a rare glimpse into the emotional intensity of the 2026 Winter Olympics after Team Canada’s Game 4 victory sent the men’s roster into the next round.

The Edmonton Oilers forward’s wife posted the heartfelt message via Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
“Game 4 was too much for my heart to handle but we’re on our way to the semis!!” the Team Canada hockey WAG captioned the post.
Lauren’s post, which included a video of her getting ready for Game 2, showed exactly how she – and the rest of us hockey fans – feel, while watching Canada’s quest for the gold.
“It was a tense game but they pulled off an amazing win! Go Canada Go!❤️🤍❤️,” one fan commented.

“Thank god we beat Czechia again! That was too much for my heart to handle also! But we did it!!!!” a second person wrote.
“Ditto!!! I think my heart stopped a few times lol,” another added.

Who Team Canada will face next
Lauren, who has been married to David since 2024, has a lot to be proud of when she watches her husband compete in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games.

Not only is Team Canada considered one of the favorites to win the gold, the men’s roster is loaded with powerhouse hockey players, including Pittsburgh Penguins legend Sidney Crosby.
Canada was also favored to win the gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2022, however, they were upset by Sweden in the quarterfinals and ultimately finished in sixth place.
The Canadian’s men’s team will now take on Finland in the semifinals on Friday, Feb. 20 at 10:40 a.m. EST.
