A WA Police officer charged with computer crime and illegal surveillance offences by the force’s sex crime division has been unable to face court.
Geraldton-based Senior Constable Stuart Parsonage has been stood down since February 6, when detectives charged him with three counts of unlawful use of a computer and two counts of unlawfully installing an optical surveillance device.
He has also been charged with the illegal possession of ammunition.

WA Police said it would be alleged while some of these offences occurred at the workplace, others occurred at a private residence.
The 46-year-old had been due to face court in Geraldton on Friday.

However, Senior Constable Parsonage’s lawyer George Giudice presented a medical certificate to the court explaining his absence, and requested the matter be adjourned until April 2.
The officer has been stood down from all duties with the Western Australia Police Force.Â
