The opening day of the final 2026 MotoGP pre-season test is underway at Buriram in Thailand.

Jorge Martin is completing his first MotoGP laps since last November’s Valencia test, while Fabio Quartararo is back on track for Yamaha after a finger injury at Sepang.

However, Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer is still recovering from a femur fracture in winter training and is being replaced for the test and opening race weekend by Ducati development rider Michele Pirro.

Testing takes place at Buriram on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.

The first session each day runs from 10:00-13:00, followed by practice starts. The second is from 13:20-18:00, then more practice starts.

The first hour of testing saw Marc Marquez dust himself off after an early crash and take P1 from team-mate Francesco Bagnaia, followed by Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi and Honda’s Luca Marini completing.
